In July 2021, against the backdrop of “League of Legends” and “Diablo: Immortal King”, “Arena of Valor” created a brand new eSports mode with Chinese players as the theme – “Battle Across Time and Space”, and started its first test in September.

In this “Battle Across Time and Space”, it will be the first time to support multiplayer battles, including 5-player team battles, team strategy battles, and 3v3 battles. In this “Battle Across Time and Space”, up to 8 users will be allowed to participate, supporting 10v10 team matchmaking, and more heroes and items will be provided based on the outcome of the match.

Now, “League of Legends” has also started to redesign the traditional competitive model and tried to create a brand new competitive experience. The game has also added a new competitive system: rank, tournament.

Rank is, as the name implies, a place where players compete against professional players. From the initial 5v5 ranking to the current 6v6 matchmaking (second only to DOTA) to the current unlimited battle mode, it has gone through “best of five” and “number of victories for the losing team”, ultimately obtaining a total of 12 victories.

In ranked matches, not only does team composition matter, but tactical strategies as well, so the “four protect one” team configuration is an essential aspect.

Tournament mode requires even more coordination and awareness. In the process of the competition, players need to constantly adjust their own state in order to win the final victory.

Rank is also a fun project, as players need to constantly improve their rankings to obtain rich rewards.

In the mode setting of the ranking match, there are three types of game modes: solo/team/server-wide. Players can participate through matching or random methods.

In solo mode, players will face 1v1 battles. Also, each match will increase the player’s points by a certain amount. When the points reach a certain amount, rewards will be given based on the outcome of the match.

Team play is more diverse. Players can experience different team cooperation and rhythm in solo battles. In ranked mode, players can obtain a large amount of money and honor point rewards. In solo mode, players can participate in matches with friends and jointly complete an exciting and challenging match.

It is worth noting that in tournament mode, players cannot use any assistance items, nor can they use any equipment. Players can only continue to participate in the competition after using equipment.

Finally, in ranked mode, the number of victories will directly determine the player’s ranking in the season’s final settlement. If the player’s ranking is lower than their highest historical ranking, it will be considered a failure.

The player’s rank will also be included in the ranking at the end of the season, and the higher the player’s rank, the more rewards they will receive!

In addition to ranked matches, “Tencent eSports” has also launched many new contents, such as team-exclusive leagues, national eSports, etc., all of which are part of a major event centered around competitions.
